All Schools Day Parade
May 11 | Downtown McPherson
Established in 1914, All Schools Day (ASD)is the longest running celebration of its kind in the United States. The annual parade begins at 10:30 a.m. and commemorates education throughout McPherson County. This year's theme is "Fun in the Sun." Be sure to check out all ASD events including the Madathon, carnival, Movies in the park, street dance and fireworks.
Summer Basketball League
May 28 - July 3 | McPherson College
Directed by Coach Tim Swarzendruber, the Summer Basketball League is for boys and girls enrolled in grades 9-12 during the 2018-19 academic year. More than 50 teams participate annually. Concerts for a Cause
June, July & August | Hopp's Sno Shack
Enjoy an outdoor performance every Thursday night featuring area musicians. Sno cone proceeds benefit a different local non-profit organization each week. There's no better way to support community! June 21 - 24
This baseball tournament is an annual fundraiser for the McPherson High School baseball team. More than 15 Kansas teams complete in the 18 & under tournament, which guarantees four games throughout the weekend. For more information call 620.727.3717. May 29 - July 29 | McPherson College & McPherson Museum
Two exhibits will showcase the best artists of Kansas. Friendship Hall on the McPherson College campus will feature "The Invitational" exhibit highlighting 60 well-known artists. The show "Four Apart" at the McPherson Museum will feature four leading artists specializing in different media. Both exhibits are organized by respected curator Jay Nelson, former owner of the Streckler-Nelson Gallery in Manhattan, Kan.
May 31 - July 27 | Light Capitol Ball Diamond
Check out McPherson's newest attraction! The McPherson Pipeliners is an amateur collegiate baseball team composed of 25-35 players. The season home opener is Thursday, May 31. All home games will be played at Light Capitol Ball Diamond. The Pipeliners will also host baseball camps for players ages 8-14 on June 10 and July 1.
Lady Express Shootout

Sponsored by Kansas Kids Sports, the Lady Express Shootout is back! 14U, 16U and 18U teams will compete from across the region.
Fourth of July Celebration

McPherson's traditional Fourth of July Celebration occurs at Wall Park with live music beginning at 8 p.m. This year's crowd will be entertained by Homebrew from Great Bend, Kan., featuring "rock, classic rock, country, pop...just about anything." Fireworks illuminated by the lake water will follow.
McPherson MAYB Tournament July 6 - 8 | McPherson College
More than 20 teams will participate in the annual basketball tournament designed for boys and girls in grades 3-12 during the 2017-18 academic year. Shop The Night Away

This annual event is sponsored by McPherson Main Street and encourages shoppers of all ages to support downtown businesses. Mowbray Metric Bicycle Weekend
July 21 & 22 | McPherson Area
A bicycling tradition since 1983, the Mowbray Metric Bicycle Weekend offers three rides taking place over two days. Routes are designed for the entire family. Funds raised from the event benefit local cycling infrastructure and advocacy work.

Kick off the school year with a free street dance featuring live music and family activities. Kansas Barn Sale

Vendors and shoppers from all over the Midwest will gather to sell and buy antiques, vintage, re-purposed, handmade and artisan goods. The setting is McPherson's beautiful Lakeside Park from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. The event is expected to draw in 5,000 - 7,000 shoppers an more than 130 vendors.
Home for the Holidays

There's no place like McPherson for the holidays! Merchants kick off the holiday season with an open house on November 1.
