Pipeliners Seek Host Families

The McPherson Pipeliners seeks families to host players during the 2019 season. Expectations include providing sleeping, shower and laundry accommodations along with meals and snacks. Players ages 18 to 24 will report May 24 and stay through July. All are required to follow team and host family rules. This year’s players represent more than 12 states. The Pipeliners general manager noted team players benefit from a family atmosphere when they come from long distances.

“I am very thankful that I was able to have my host family last summer,” said player Grant Newton. “They gave me a home away from home and made me feel like part of the family. Without them, it wouldn’t have been possible to be a Pipeliner.”

Established in 2018, the McPherson Pipeliners are an amateur baseball club affiliated with National Baseball Congress (NBC) and Kansas Collegiate League Baseball (KCLB). Their first season featured 32 talented athletes from across the nation playing 21 home games. If you are interested in hosting one or more players, view details at or call 620.680.2689.
