All Schools Day | McPherson, Kansas
Friday, May 10, 2019
Established in 1914, All Schools Day is the longest running celebration of its kind in the United States. The event evolved from a parade and recognition banquet honoring eighth grade graduates to week-long activities commemorating education throughout McPherson County.
Community members dedicate countless volunteer hours to showcase the annual event. The much anticipated parade is held the second Friday of May in downtown McPherson. Other activities include May Fete featuring student talent, a carnival in Wickersham Park, the Madathon (youth Olympic-style games), a street dance, a movie in the park and fireworks.
